My camera, a 1950 Rolleicord twin lens reflex, acts as my mentor, informing my choice of subject, while my graphic design eye takes care of the composition. The result is a collection of images, each with a timeless quality - ghosts from a mysterious past - yet subjects that are very much in the here and now.

With medium format film, I have a limited amount of time to get a shot, and only know if I’ve succeeded after I’ve developed a roll in the darkroom cupboard under my stairs. From there, the negatives are scanned, touched up with a very light hand and professionally printed onto archival paper.

I can provide creative and art direction or design for a wide range of printed materials, from publications to direct mail to packaging. I am equally well-versed in web design and development and have designed and created websites for channel markets, B2B and consumers.

Most recently, my design endeavours have been focussed on games, in particular, casual games for a mass market audience. My latest projects are mobile titles on Nokia’s N-Gage platform.

I have pursued photography both as a hobby and as a freelancer since 1984. My work has appeared in a range of business and consumer publications, including the Long Beach Tribune, South Coast Business, Discovering Long Beach, The Racing Times and the LA Times Magazine.

I specialise in architectural, product and food photography and can provide stock imagery of a range of subjects. Some of my commercial stock photography work can be found on Alamy, whilst additional commercial and digital work can be accessed here.

Since I discovered the joy of vintage cameras, I have acquired over 16 different devices, ranging from folding and box cameras, to rangefinders, TLRs and Polaroid cameras. I use them to create Fine Art prints from film. I sell a selection of these in the Print Shop.

As marketing manager for Cyberlife Technology and Creature Labs, I was in charge of a variety of projects, from product launches to website management, customer support, PR and more.

I’ve got plenty of experience with print production as well - from daily newspapers to monthly magazines and every sort of small print project imaginable. I’m equally at home with a daily deadline or three-year-long projects.
My project management style is both agile and process-orientated, encompassing detailed documentation with a high degree of flexiblity.

In my work as a games producer I collaborate to create strong designs with allowances for iterative development throughout the project.

Pre-production work is thorough, with an emphasis on quality, creativity and timeliness.

I’m as comfortable with a daily deadline as I am with three-year-long projects.
